About Jordan

The Beginning

I have been doing website design and development since my first interaction with HTML in the fall of 1999. As soon as I made my first "Hello world from the internet!" page, I was hooked! In the following years I further honed my skills in HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and other web-related technologies.

The Evolution

While still a high school student, I had my first web-related position - webmaster for the local Jewish Community Center in my hometown. Shortly after that I was an intern in the AccuWeather.com web department.

While in college, I started to develop more insight into the principles of clean and intuitive interface design both through courses in the university and my own experiences - which, at the time, consisted mainly of university-related sites. It was during these years that I also gained valuable knowledge and experience in how to use established web standards and search engine optimization to increase the visiblity and usability of the sites I developed. In addition I learned to create using modular coding practices to produce highly scalable websites which can grow in size while still being manageable and running well.

The Present

With over a decade of experience, I work as a freelance web designer and developer. I design and develop websites, portal systems, web-based applications, and mobile websites. I also update and revamp the design of and implement search engine optimization into existing websites.
